Summary of Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Corporate Accountant to prepare financial statements, payroll and bookkeeping. The ideal candidate should be reliable, have great organization skills, and be able to communicate effectively with senior management and various departments. We also want you to be detail-oriented and possess sharp business acumen. The candidate will be based in St. Catherine and must be able to occasionally travel to Toronto and Barrie.

· Recording and journalizing transactions for account payable and account receivable

· Consolidate and analyze financial statements for year-end hand-off to accounting firm

· Prepare budgets and monitor expenditures

· Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings

· Payroll and vacation calculation

· Prepare monthly GST/HST reconciliation and returns

· Preparation and disbursement of cheques and electronic payments

Qualifications:

· 1 year of accounting experience, BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and finance software (QuickBooks).

· Has good basic accounting, taxation, and bookkeeping knowledge.

· Keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of accuracy and integrity on documents

· Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to report to the upper management clearly, concisely, and confidently as needed.

· Demonstrated experience in dynamic and fast-paced environments with a positive attitude and high-volume traffic

· Organized and able to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team

· Professional English language proficiency: Mandarin language skills would be a clear asset.
