KABUL, May 26 -- A soldier of Afghan army was killed as a roadside bomb struck a military vehicle in Khost province east of Afghanistan Tuesday, a press release of Defense Ministry said. "Militants detonated a mine by remote control against a patrol team of soldiers killing one," the press release added. Taliban militants often use roadside bombings and suicide attacks against Afghan and the U.S.-led Coalition forces in Afghanistan. Similar attack early in the day claimed three soldiers of NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Kapisa province, 80 km north of capital city Kabul. |
