BEIJING, June 11 -- The Chinese armed forces hope to further military ties with Bolivia, Chinese Defense Minister Liang Guanglie said here Thursday. Liang, also a state councilor, made the remarks when meeting with Jose Prudencio, Bolivian vice defense minister. "China-Bolivia relations have made great process since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties," Liang said, adding that recent years has seen frequent high-level visits, close communication and collaboration in international affairs and pragmatic cooperation in various fields between the two countries. Liang said the Chinese armed forces attach importance to its relations of friendly cooperation with Bolivia and are willing to work together with Bolivia to raise bilateral military ties to a higher level. Jose Prudencio said that Bolivia firmly adheres to the one-China policy. He hoped his visit could further promote the exchanges and cooperation between the two countries and militaries. |
